1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Lycoris application, or by visiting our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the application.

2. Open Source License & Software Nature

Lycoris is free, open-source software provided under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). You are permitted to inspect, modify, fork, and distribute the source code in accordance with the terms of the AGPL-3.0 as published in our official GitHub repository.

3. User Data Ownership & Sovereignty

You retain full and complete ownership of all data, records, playtime logs, expense items, notes, and custom entries that you input into Lycoris.

• Lycoris claims no proprietary rights, copyright, or intellectual property in your personal gaming records or library.
• We do not host or store your records on proprietary servers. Your data is stored on your device or in your personal cloud accounts.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data (via local JSON export or the optional Google Drive sync feature).

4. Integration with Third-Party Services

Lycoris provides optional integrations with third-party platforms to enhance functionality:

A. Google Drive API

When you enable Google Drive sync, the application communicates directly with Google's servers using Google APIs. Your use of Google services is governed by the Google Terms of Service. Lycoris requests only the restricted drive.file scope to store your backup in your personal account.

B. IGDB (Internet Game Database) / Twitch

Game titles, release years, cover artwork, and genres are retrieved from the IGDB API (a service of Twitch Interactive, Inc.). Such content remains the intellectual property of their respective copyright holders, publishers, and developers. Lycoris proxies queries via an edge Cloudflare Worker for non-commercial informational purposes.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

We do not warrant that:

• The application will meet all your requirements or operate error-free.
• External services (such as Google Drive or IGDB APIs) will remain uninterrupted or perpetually accessible.
• Calculations or currency estimates will be error-free across all foreign exchange fluctuations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the creators or contributors of Lycoris be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, device damage, or inability to access backups.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at any time by updating this document on our website. Continued use of the software after such revisions signifies your agreement to the modified Terms.
